BattleFront Miniatures: Flames of War Early War Sale

Party Like Its 1941

Party Like Its 1941
In November 2009 we embarked on an ambitious project to go back to where the war began and started work on what would become Blitzkrieg. Over the next five years we spent over 5,500 hours creating the Early-war series of books and covering the period like no one has done before.

Let us roll out the numbers…
• We wrote over 760 pages of content.
• We created 117 new companies.
• We laid up over 800 platoon diagrams.
• We sculpted, painted, and released over 250 products.
• Hundreds of people around the world helped out as play testers or contributors.
• And we took more photos and wrote more web articles than we can possibly count!

Sitting around the table and getting all nostalgic was fun for us but it was not going to help people get tanks on the table and we want everyone to have the chance to enjoy Early-war as much as we do. So next week we are launching an Early-war sale covering pretty much every tank, gun, infantry team (as well as a few other things) with an E on it. For a limited time you will be able to buy two and get a third for free. We will also have special pricing on the Early-war books (Blitzkrieg, Hellfire and Back, Burning Empires and Rising Sun) so you can complete your collection or start a new theatre. We are also going to put a cap on the amount you are going to pay for shipping so you can spend more on figures and less on freight.

Sale Starts 19 September!
So where too from here? Early War is now done…but is it?

Getting to Barbarossa and the end of our Early-war book plan does not mean that Early-war gaming has to come to an end! Wayne has been working on a few extra digital briefings covering Belgium to Yugoslavia, Mike always has something up his sleeve, Phil keeps talking about Fallschirmjäger and the White Cliffs of Dover, and did someone say Early-war Experimentals? And don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about the Hungarians or Romanians either!

Early-war Sale Q & A
Q: Will the new Barbarossa book and releases be included in the sale?
A: Barbarossa is released after the conclusion of the sale. However this is a great opportunity to get your supporting units and figures in preparation for the release of this book.

Q: How is the discount calculated?
A: We will sort your purchases in descending price order and change every third sale item to $0. So if you ordered 2 BR702 BEF Rifle Platoons ($18 USD each), 1 BR310 Daimler Dingo ($14.50 USD) and 3 BR052 Matilda IIs ($13 USD each), you would get the blister of Daimler Dingos and 1 of the Matilda II blisters for free.

Q: Do books count towards the Buy 2, Get 1 Free deal?
A: Yes. If you add any of the four books to your order they will count towards the buying 2 and getting 1 free (at the discounted prices obviously). So if you buy 1 book and 2 other products you will get 1 of them for free.

Q: Will there be stock?
A: Yes, although if demand is higher than our stock levels we will get it made as soon as possible and have orders completely fulfilled in the same order that they came through the webstore. Orders will be fulfilled in the order that they are received so get in early to avoid disappointment.

Q: My Order shows my shipping is more than the (above) listed maximum, what gives?
A: Our webstore automatically calculates shipping costs, so your total will show as the calculated value. When we fulfill the order, we will chop off anything in excess of your region's maximum (listed above)!

Q: How long does the sale last?
A: The sale starts on 19 September 2014 and ends 6 October. The front page of the website will be updated once the store has the sale pricing.

Battle Front: Flames of War Announcement (Forces of War)

Forces Of War

Forces Of War!
For many years one of our play testers and proof readers Gregg Siter has in his spare time been running Easy Army. He created it out of a personal desire to have a tool to manage his armies but it has grown so that many other people can now do the same. For those of you who don’t know this is a force building software package that helps you create and use army lists. When we gave Gregg the okay right at the start to do this we always assumed this would evolve into something more and now that time has come.

Easy Army is going to evolve into Forces of War. This will be an official FOW army builder that at its core uses Easy Army but now will have more features and graphics than ever before. We still have a little more work to do until we can show you the final version but our goal is to have it up and running before our next book, Barbarossa, is out in October. Stay tuned for more news as we will be showing you what it looks like and how it will work in the coming weeks.
